Ripple Retreat held its Bands for Recovery, Playing for Discovery at the Ripple Retreat Center in West Paris June 22.
Live bands played all day and into the evening at the alcohol-free music festival. Recovery Centers from around Maine supported those in recovery or anyone interested in exploring sober living. All of the recovery centers at the event were providing information and sharing resources.
The Lakes Region Recovery Center handed out home care bags along with Narcan and test strips.
Proceeds go towards the creation of a multipurpose room at Ripple Retreat. The room will provide a space for those in recovery to hold meetings, educational events and the practice of holistic healing methods, such as yoga, meditation and reiki.
