Lewiston Public Library plans to host a free adult craft night at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, on the first floor of the library in The Jeanne Couture Room at 200 Lisbon St. Participants will be making lawn decorations.
Terracotta pots can be turned into a lighthouse lawn decoration. All supplies will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own paint smocks or aprons. Supplies are limited for this craft so registration is required. Participation in this event counts towards the library’s Summer Reading program. This event is open to teens and adults, according to a news release from Caitlin Ramsay with the library.
The 2024 Summer Reading program at the library runs from Monday, June 24, until Saturday, Aug. 17, with the theme of Read, Make, and Explore. Participants are encouraged not only to read or listen to books but also to make a new craft or recipe or explore a favorite place in the beautiful city or a new landmark in this wondrous state.
