TheAdventures in Nature: Learn About Misfits Rehab” program, part of Auburn Public Library’s summer reading initiative Adventure Begins at Your Library, is set for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.
The event, held in the Androscoggin Community Room at the 49 Spring St. library, is open to adults and families.
The individuals at Auburn’s Misfits Rehab wildlife rehabilitation facility take care of injured, orphaned and sick native wildlife with the intent of returning a healthy and viable animal back to its natural habitat where it can thrive.
This program will cover what it is to be a rehabilitator, what animals are taken in — as well as animals people may encounter in their neighborhood — and what people can do to help wildlife in need in the best and safest way possible, according to a news release from Donna Wallace, adult services manager and library director.
