Dennis Lawrence Morin
AUBURN – Dennis Lawrence Morin of Auburn died peacefully at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston on June 30, 2024 following a brief illness.
Dennis was born May 9, 1953 in Lewiston to Albert Morin and Lucille Morin (Garneau). He was a 1971 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and earned an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Maine at Augusta in 1973. He valued being a reliable and hard worker and was employed throughout his lifetime as a cook, factory machine operator, and cleaner.
He married Tina Bergeron in 1982 and they had two children. He maintained a good relationship with her and her family following their divorce in 1994. He was an avid bowler for many years and was gifted at miniature golf. Dennis valued living a simple life, with a love for classic television, game shows, British comedy, Chinese food buffets, watching golf, researching history, and listening to music (particularly ABBA). He was a remarkably kind person who will be greatly missed.
Dennis is survived by his son, Andrew Morin of Manassas, Va., his daughter, Melanie Michaud and her husband Christopher Michaud of Bangor; his sister Jeannine Grondin of Lewiston; his granddaughters Roslin and Ruby Michaud; his nephew, Donald Grondin, and his nieces Elaine Pacileo, Susan Grondin, and Diane Belanger. He is also survived by his dear friend of over 50 years, John Cloutier.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Robert Morin, and his brother-in-law, Richard Grondin.
Committal prayers will be held at the St. Peter’s Cemetery mausoleum in Lewiston at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23.
