OXFORD — Police fire and rescue crews were called out for a slew of vehicle crashes Friday afternoon, at least two of which involved injuries.

Shortly after 1 p.m., crews were sent out to the area at Route 26 and Industrial Drive for a report of a head-on collision that involved an emergency vehicle. Witnesses reported that an ambulance was involved in that crash.

Injuries were reported in the crash, although it was not clear how many were hurt.

A second crash was reported around the same time and in the same area. In that one, in the area of 299 Skeetfield Road, a vehicle was reported to have rolled over with at least one person entrapped.

Several other wrecks were reported in Oxford through the afternoon. Police and emergency crews were coming from nearby towns to assist with the crashes.
