Ernie Anderson is an award-winning cartoonist and the creator of Anvil Falls — which has been running in the Sun Journal on Sundays since February 2023. He got his start in newsprint media in 2012, producing editorial cartoons and illustrations for the Sun Journal, and in 2014 and 2015 his cartoons took first place at the Maine Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest. Since 2022, he has illustrated Mark LaFlamme’s Talk of the Town column.
