

AUBURN – Donna Lee Haley, 84, of Minot peacefully passed away on Sunday July 7, 2024, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn with her daughter by her side. She was born in Mexico, Maine on May 2, 1940, a daughter of the late Chester and Lillian (Canwell) Murphy. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School.
She met the love of her life, Edward Haley, Jr., and they were married in Auburn on March 14, 1958 and they started a family together. During that time Donna spent many of her years tending to the needs of her family as a homemaker. She and her husband were active Kora Shriners
She will always be remembered for her love of camping and going to their camp. She also loved to sing country music while cooking and cleaning. She had a beautiful voice. She always enjoyed baking cupcakes and treats for the neighborhood kids as well as attending all of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a wonderful grandmother who took care of her two grandchildren, Catherine Haley and Keegan Fennessy
Donna also looked after her niece, Kelly Taylor Soracco and nephew, Todd Young from the time they were young and spent many summers at Aunt Donna’s.
Donna had a laugh that was unforgettable and contagious. She will surely be remembered by that.
She is survived by her children, Sheila Fennessy and her husband Scott of Minot, Bruce Haley and wife Sandra of Minot; as well as her grandchildren, Keegan Fennessy and wife Tatiana of Poland and Catherine Haley and her boyfriend Corey Casagrande; and also her three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mia and Owen Fennessy. She also leaves behind her siblings, Mary Murphy and husband Levitt, Betty Murphy, Shirley Taylor, Paul Luce and wife Marge and Richard Eastman; as well as her special niece and nephew, Lori Roy and Chad Luce, and many other nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Haley in 2020, her brothers, Frank Eastman and Michael Murphy and her sisters, Alice Eastman and Barbara Roy.

A Memorial Gathering will take place at the funeral home on Saturday July 27, 2024 from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial with committal prayers will follow at Brookvale Cemetery in Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home & Cremation Services 253 Pine St. Lewiston, 782-7201.
