Musician Marc Black

Musician Marc Black will be performing his newest musical program “Growing Up in the Woodstock Generation” on Wednesday July 24th at 6:00 PM at the Rangeley Public Library. A New York Hall of Fame inductee, Black, delighted a crowd of Rangeley Public Library patrons in 2022 with his program “Boppa Chua” in which he performed songs from the 50s and 60s. His newest musical program focuses on Woodstock and the music of the 60s.

According to Black, “Being a songwriter is not just something that I do, it’s who I am. It’s how I’ve tried to make sense of my world since I was a teenager, writing and recording songs for my high school sweetheart. That led to making a record and doing shows with The Doors, Neil Diamond and Van Morrison when I was just 18.”

This program is offered by the Rangeley Public Library for free to anyone who would like to attend, however, we highly recommend signing up in advance as there may not be space available the day of the program. Please stop by the Library at 7 Lake Street or call us at (207)864-5529 to sign up.
