LEWISTON — Police arrested a man and a woman at a College Street home Tuesday night who were suspected of trafficking fentanyl.

Officers recovered 46.1 grams of fentanyl, 19.6 grams of crack cocaine, 9.1 grams of methamphetamine and more than $4,000 in cash.

Police executed a warrant at 149 College St. at about 11:30 p.m. stemming from an ongoing drug investigation, according to a post on the Lewiston Police Department’s Facebook page.

Assisted by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents, officers located more than a dozen people at the home.

Lucas Messer, 39, of Auburn was charged with aggravated trafficking of Fentanyl, a crime punishable by up to 30 years in prison and two additional counts of unlawful trafficking, each of those crimes punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Keosha Craig-Pontoo, 33, of Lewiston was charged with aggravated trafficking of Fentanyl for which she could be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison if convicted.

Three other people at the home were arrested, including: Derek Demers, 42, of Lewiston on an outstanding warrant for theft; Natasha Walker, 35, of Lewiston on an outstanding warrant charging theft and violation of conditions of release; and Cherly Seaborne, 35, of Lewiston on a charge of violation of conditions of release.

“This is the third search warrant at this location in the last eight months,” according to the Facebook post. “These five arrests bring the total number of arrests from these search warrants to 18.”

Local police and drug agents were assisted by Scarborough Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
