The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club plans to welcome Carmen Lone as speaker at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, at The Alliance Church at 368 Harrison Road in Bridgton.
Lone will speak about her role as a member of the board of the Bridgton Food Pantry. She was president of the board when the food pantry secured funding and the location for its new home.

Lone has been on the Bridgton Select Board for several years, presently serving as its chair. Also, she was executive director of the Bridgton Community Center for more than 20 years until her retirement in June 2022. Her contributions to the community have been widely recognized, and she continues to be an active member of Bridgton’s civic life, according to a news release from the rotary.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
