07/20/2024 0800hrs, Deputy Morgan received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle on school street in Weld.
0815hrs, Deputy Brann responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance in a vehicle in Wyman Twp. involving a Chinese National. Border Patrol was brought into the investigation to help with translation and further investigation. No crimes were identified.
0954hrs, Sgt. Close participated in traffic control form the 5K run event by the Phillips Library.
1110hrs, Sgt. Close, Sgt. Sholan and Deputy Brann responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Partridge Road in Phillips. The suspect had fled the scene prior to the arrival of the deputies. As a result of the investigation Jacob Pendexter (44) of Auburn has a warrant for his arrest for Class B Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault, Class D Domestic Violence Terrorizing, Class C Violating Conditions of Release and Class B Tampering with a Witness.
1126hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a 911 call at a residence on the Rangeley Road in Phillips. This was an accidental dial.
1155hrs, Deputies participated in traffic control for the Kingfield Days Parade.
1343hrs, Deputy Morgan received a complaint of a disabled vehicle on the Phillips Road in Strong.
1445hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a complaint where the complainant wanted assistance in retrieving personal property from a residence he moved out of in May. This was a civil issue.
1516hrs, Deputy Maccione received a complaint of a vehicle tailgating a motorcycle on Route 4 in Rangeley Plt.
1533hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a parking complaint on Woolen Mill Bridge in Salem.
2015hrs, Deputy Frost responded to a residence on True Hill Road in Strong regarding the person there suffering from mental health issues and threatening to shoot others. As a result of the investigation the person was taken into protective custody, a firearm was removed, and a Yellow Flag restriction was applied for and granted. An emaciated dog was removed from the residence as well and placed at the animal shelter.
2150hrs. Responded to a report of a two-car accident on Route 27 in Wyman Twp. Jonathan Bachelder (48) of Palmyra was driving a 2007 Dodge Caravan northbound when he crossed the centerline striking a southbound 2010 Dodge Ram hauling a trailer being driven by Liam Mullins (28) of Wells. As a result of the investigation Bachelder was arrested for OUI and transported to jail. No injuries were reported, both vehicles were damaged heavily. The dog that was with Bachelder was taken to the animal shelter.
2251hrs, Sgt. Sholan investigated a complaint of juveniles threatening each other on Dummer’s Beach Lane in Weld.
07/21/2024 0421hrs, Deputy Brann responded to a business alarm at Our Village Market in New Vineyard. This was a false alarm.
1104hrs, Deputy Brann investigated a report of an ATM being struck by a vehicle near the post office in Eustis.
1152hrs, Deputy Brann investigated a credit card fraud complaint at a residence on the Bemis Road in Rangeley Plt.
1537hrs, Sgt. Close received a complaint of trespassing at the “Ledges” off the Phillips Road in Strong.
1731hrs, Deputy Clement received a request for a welfare check on a juvenile at a residence on the River Road in Phillips. A check of the residence found the juvenile to be okay.
1813hrs, Deputy Brann received a 911 call indicating a crash had occurred on Francis Place in Weld. A check of the area by local first responders found that this was an accidental call, not a crash.
07/22/2024 0914hrs, Deputy Gray received a social media online threatening complaint that occurred at a residence on River Road in Phillips. No crime was identified.
0948hrs, Deputy Frost arrested Toney Johnson (33) of Jay who was located at a residence on the Dixfield Road in Weld. The arrest was due to a Warrant, Johnson was transported without incident.
1114hrs, Deputy Gray received a 911 call at ARC Enterprises in Kingfield. This was an accidental dial.
1250hrs, Lt. Rackliffe with K-9 Rebel and Det. Richards assisted Wilton Police with a drug investigation.
1349hrs, Lt. Rackliffe and K-9 Rebel responded to Jay to assist the PD with a traffic stop.
1545hrs, Sgt. Close received a vandalism complaint at a residence on Coffin Road in Industry. It was determined that the event did not occur, the complainant imagined it.
1827hrs, Sgt. Close received a 911 call at a residence on the Maxwell Road in Weld. This was an accidental dial.
1958hrs, Deputy Clement and Sgt. Close investigated a disturbance call on Main Street in Phillips.
2213hrs, Deputy Clement received a complaint of trash in the middle of the road north of Rangeley.
07/23/2024 0444hrs, Deputy Gay responded to a car vs. Moose Accident on School Street in Perkins Twp. Clifford Scott (52) of Weld was driving a 2017 Chevy when the collision occurred.
0903hrs, Deputy Gray received a 911 call at a residence on Mingo Loop Road in Rangeley. This was an accidental dial.
1013hrs, Deputy Gray provided security at a residence on Porter Nadeau Road in Eustis while a person there was moving personal items from the residence.
1224hrs, Deputy Maccione assisted a parent who stopped at the Sheriff’s Office because a juvenile with her was in crisis. Maccione assisted the parent and the child and provided instruction to help cope with future events.
1329hrs, Deputy Gray received a 911 call on Main Street in Rangeley. This was an accidental dial.
1402hrs, Deputy Maccione received a late report of an accident on the Weld Road in Weld. Kristy White (43) of Phillips was driving a 2014 Toyota Tacoma when they hit a low hanging branch from a tree shattering the windshield.
1704hrs, Deputy Elmes received a 911 call on Main Street in Kingfield. This was an accidental dial from a vehicle.
1855hrs, Deputy Maccione received a report of a suspicious person on the Phillips Road in Weld.
1859hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a residential alarm on Herbie Welch Trail in Rangeley Plt. This was a false alarm.
2027hrs, Deputy Maccione received a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on John Pond Road in Davis Twp. The complainant called to report that his friend was intoxicated and that he had taken his friend’s car keys. However, the intoxicated person had another set and left the area.
2225hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a second residential alarm on Herbie Welch Trail in Rangeley Plt. This was also a false alarm.
2317hrs, Sgt. Bean and Deputy Maccione responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on West Side Road in Carthage. This was a mother that was having issues with disrespectful kids who had left for Lewiston prior to the arrival of the Deputies.
07/24/2024 1910hrs, Deputy Elmes investigated a report of juveniles harassing a homeowner on Main Street in Kingfield. It was reported that two young males rang the doorbell of the residence then ran off. One of the kids was known to the caller.
1952hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a medical emergency at a residence on Route 27 in New Vineyard.
2024hrs, Deputy Maccione responded to a report of car vs. utility pole on the Farmington Road in Strong located in front of the laundry mat. A witness saw the driver flee from the scene. Sgt. Bean and Deputy Elmes started looking for the driver and located him at a residence on South Strong Road in Strong. Investigation revealed that Gregory Storer (41) of Salem Twp. was driving a 2009 Chevy Cobalt when he drifted off the road into the utility pole. He fled the scene. Storer was summonsed for “Failing to Notify of a motor vehicle accident by quickest means” and “Circumventing the operation of an Ignition Interlock Device”. CMP was called to the scene to repair the damaged pole, Strong Fire Dept. also responded to the scene.
2047hrs, Sgt. Bean and K-9 Bain assisted Deputy Maccione with a traffic stop on the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon.
07/25/2024 0733hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a 911 call at a residence on the Barker Road in New Vineyard. This was an accidental dial.
0930hrs, Deputy Morgan investigated what turned out to be a civil complaint involving formerly married people and their current living arrangements.
1202hrs, Deputy Gray received a 911 call at the overlook in Sandy River Plt.
1248hrs, Deputy Gray responded to a report of a single motorcycle accident with a driver and passenger on South Shore Drive in Rangeley Plt. Louis Sofia (69) of Bellmore NY was driving a 20222 Harley Davidson west bound when he failed to negotiate the sharp corning as he approached the Route 17 Intersection, driving into the woods. Rangeley Fire responded to the scene, both the driver and his wife Janice Sofia (68) were transported to FMH for evaluation.
1358hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a complaint of a fake 20-dollar bill located in the cash register of Flagstaff General Store in Eustis.
1638hrs, Deputy Brann received a welfare check request to be conducted at a residence on Lambert Hill Road in Strong. The person to be checked was located and found to be ok.
1718hrs, Deputy Brann received a walk in complaint at the Sheriff’s Office of a potential sex offence that occurred at a residence on the Industry Road in Industry.
1837hrs, Deputy Brann received a complaint of a suspicious Black Nissan that had stopped at a residence on the Farmington Road in Strong.
2051hrs, Deputy Maccione and Deputy Elmes responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between a father and son on Kennebago Ave. in Rangeley. No charges were filed.
2055hrs, Deputy Elmes received a complaint of suspicious juveniles on Quimby Pond Road in Rangeley.
1015hrs, Deputy Morgan received a 911 call on Old Dead River Road in Eustis. He was unable to locate the source of the call.
07/26/2024 0639hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on Tory Hill Road in Phillips. Nathan Walli (30) of Avon was driving a 1999 Toyota Avalon eastbound when he crossed the centerline, ran off the road causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times and coming to rest back on the road. The accident was not reported for several hours. As a result of the investigation Nathan Walli was charged with Driving to Endanger and Failing to Notify of an accident. The driver was transported to FMH to be medically evaluated. Farmington Towing responded to the scene.
1034hrs, Deputy Morgan received a complaint of a suspicious U-Haul truck parked on Stratton rook Pond Road in Wyman Twp.
1212hrs, Det. Richards received a 911 call at a residence on the Bemis Road in Rangeley Plt. This was an accidental dial.
1525hrs, Deputy Elmes received a 911 call on Dallas Hill Road in Dallas Plt. This was an accidental dial at a work site.
1611hrs, Deputy Maccione assisted Oxford Sheriff’s Deputies with an investigation on Adams Road in Chesterville.
1632hrs, Deputy Maccione received a complaint of a social media scam at a residence on River Street in Strong.
2120hrs, Deputy Clement responded to a medical call at a residence on Moose Gully in Strong.
2138hrs, Deputy Maccione received a complaint of a suspicious red truck parked on Amble Street in Phillips.
2141hrs, Deputy Clement received a 911 call off from Racetrack Road in Rangeley Plt. This was an accidental dial by a camper.
2319hrs, Deputy Elmes received a 911 call at a residence on Pemaquid Trial in Rangeley. This was an accidental dial.
2359hrs, Deputy Elmes received a complaint of a suspicious light on the top of Ledge Hill in Chain of Ponds Twp. This was determined to be a solar powered memorial light.
