AUGUSTA — An emergency repair to a failing bridge joint on Interstate 95 in Augusta is expected to cause a lane closure for several hours Monday evening, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.
The bridge joint is between exits 112 and 109 on the southbound side of the bridge that carries I-95 over Bond Brook Road and Bond Brook, according to an announcement late Monday afternoon from the state DOT.
DOT officials said they anticipate the right lane of the southbound side of I-95 to be closed for several hours while workers make the repair.
A department spokesperson could not be reached Monday for additional comment on the repairs.
