Our company doors have always been open wide for politicians to talk with our Geiger employees, but no one ever has been more engaging than U.S. Sen. Angus King.

He consistently took time for genuine and in-depth conversations with people about what they were doing and why. He asked, learned, and connected in his wonderful, approachable way.

Regarding our business generally, I’ll always remember the Saturday I was at my desk when the phone rang. It was Angus. Having just driven by, he called to ask how our company was doing. That was it … on a Saturday.

Angus is a unique leader — curious, fair-minded, and solutions focused. There are sadly few like him in the middle who can work with both sides. And I can personally vouch for how much he knows and cares about Mainers.
