Comedy Soup, the area’s most exciting new improv troupe, delivers laughs starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, at Great Falls Comedy Club in Auburn. The show will benefit the fundraising efforts of Catherine Tanous who is participating in the 6th annual Trailblaze Challenge benefitting Make-A-Wish Maine this September. The Trailblaze Challenge is a 1-day, 23.4 mile hike along the Maine Hut Trail in Carrabassett Valley. Each participant’s personal challenge goal is $2,500. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
The one and only Jimmy Dunn will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Great Falls Comedy Club in Auburn. Dunn is a long time Boston comedy scene mainstay having appeared on Letterman and Conan, and Denis Leary’s Comic’s Come Home. He is the producer of the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival as well as an actor who currently plays “Moose” on the Paramount+ reboot of the sitcom “Frasier.” Tickets are $25.
