Hot Rods for Grads
PARIS — Hot Rods for Grads Cruise In Car Show will be held on September 21 to benefit Oxford Hills Project Graduation. Gates open at 8 a.m., and the cruise-in car show opens to the public from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Community Lunch
OTISFIELD — On Wednesday, September 18, the Social Outreach Committee will host its Community Lunch from 11:30-12:30. The menu includes meatball subs, a variety of sandwiches, assorted salads, chips, a variety of bars for dessert and lemonade, iced tea or coffee. Bring a friend or a neighbor and come on down to the Community Hall at 292 State Rt 121. The Lunch is free. Donations are appreciated. Many thanks go to all who volunteer! Hope to see you there!
Maine Harvest Supper
CASCO — The Casco Village Church, United Church of Christ is hosting our “Maine Harvest Saturday Supper” on Saturday, September 28 from 4:30-6 p.m. This month’s dinner will feature ham and potatoes, baked beans, roasted veggies, squash, zucchini, & pumpkin breads, and cider with homemade apple pie/crisp & ice cream! Maine Woodcarvers Association Show
AUGUSTA — The Maine Woodcarvers Association is dedicated to the education and promotion of woodcarving as an art form. In keeping with this philosophy, we organize and promote the annual Maine Woodcarvers Association Show.
The Maine Wood Carvers Association Show and Competition will be at the Buker Community Center, 22 Armory Street in Augusta on October 5 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Take a class or watch a demonstration. Vote for the People’s Choice Award. Shop for supplies from several vendors, including MDI Woodcarvers Supply. There will be raffle items and a 50/50 drawing. All carvers are encouraged to enter; entries will be accepted: Oct. 4 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. or Oct 5 from 7 – 9 a.m.

Responsible Pet Care Rabies Vaccination & Microchip Clinic
NORWAY — The clinic will be held on Saturday, September 21 at the Norway Fire Station from 9 to 11 a.m. Please bring information with you on the last vaccination received, if possible. The cost to microchip is $25 and cost for rabies vaccination is $20. It is the law that all dogs and cats be vaccinated for rabies. Dog licenses

Waterford Fall Foliage Road Race (the 25th Anniversary!)
WATERFORD — The 25th Annual Waterford Fall Foliage Road Race, 5K Fitness Walk and One-Mile Fun Run will take place on Sunday, October 13 on the Waterford Common.
The one-mile fun run for ages 12 & under will start at 11:30 and is free for all kids. The 5K will start at 12 Noon. The race is an “out & back” course along Rt. 35/37 to Sweden road and back to the Common. Funds raised benefit the Tony Waldeier Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors attending Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Race fee is $25 ahead, or $30 on race day. SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner is holding the 15th Annual Harvest Day and Barn Sale on September 21 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The event includes barn sale items, local craftspeople, raffle baskets including a truckload of loam, baked goods and produce, the Zadoc Long Free Library book sale and beanhole bean lunches.
