Central Maine Healthcare employees enjoyed Baxter Brewing Company pork sliders Wednesday at the Taste the Harvest street festival on Lisbon Street in Lewiston, sponsored by the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. The group attended to allow their food service leaders to participate in the event. From left are Geoff McLeod, Jen Bodger, Ross Izer (the lead cook), Patrick Hodsdon (the executive chef), and Amanda Ettinger. Hodsdon says he draws inspiration from many sources and expects to find plenty throughout the evening. The festival celebrated the local food economy with tapas-style dishes from area chefs. Attendees enjoyed meals at stations along Lisbon Street, featuring ingredients from local farms. The festive al fresco event included music, local beer, a pop-up farmer’s market and art booths.
