LEWISTON — Know a veteran who is homeless or at risk for becoming homeless?
An event planned at Veterans Memorial Park on Main Street is aimed at helping them in a variety of ways.
Homeless Veterans Mobile Stand Down will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday.
“Access to housing, benefits, health care services, employment and training opportunities, personal care items, winter clothing and other community resources will be available,” according to the description. “Free haircuts and lunch will be provided.”
Veterans will be able to ride the CityLink bus to and from the park at no cost.
Those who need immediate help are asked to call the Homeless Veterans Coordination Team at 207-287-7019 or email [email protected]
