RANGELEY — The Rangeley Guides and Sportsmen’s Association 15th Annual Turkey Shoot is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. Registration is from 10 to 11 a.m. No additional shooters accepted after close of registration.
Shotgun Competition: Using a .410 shotgun and ammo provided by RRG&SA, The Magic BB closest to the bullseye wins a certificate for a turkey or ham. Note, .17 rim fire through big bore centerfire calibers allowed but you must provide your own ammo. Also, 22. caliber rifle and ammo provided for those without a firearm.
Adult shooters staged by round firing a single shot at target with closest to bull’s eye wins certificate for ham or turkey. There will also be a novice competition for shooters under the age of 16.
Please note: Eye and ear protection must be worn by all in attendance.
The entry fee is $5 per round or $12 for three rounds.
Directions: Take Rte. 16 west from Oquossoc for five miles then turn right onto Morton Cutoff Rd. Travel 1.5 miles to the range on the right.
