Indigenous-Themed “Not Quite a Free Lunch”

12 p.m. to 2.p.m., UMF South Dining Hall, Olsen Student Center

UMF’s Sodexo Dining Services will offer a festive Indigenous-themed lunch. Open to the public.

UMF students on a meal plan use their card.

Film: RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked the World

7 p.m., Lincoln Auditorium, Roberts Learning Center

Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked The World is a Sundance Film Festival award-winning documentary honoring the contributions of Native American musicians to rock music.

Free. Open to the public.

Play: “The Thanksgiving Play” by Larissa FastHorse

Thur.-Sat., 7 p.m., Sun. 2 p.m.

UMF Alumni Theater
A satirical comedy by Larissa FastHorse that tells the story of a group of well-meaning but culturally insensitive white theater artists who attempt to create an elementary school play about the first Thanksgiving while struggling with their own biases. Directed by UMF Associate Professor of Visual and Performing Arts Melissa Thompson, the play is the first Broadway production by a female Native American playwright. FastHorse is the co-founder of Indigenous Direction, the nation’s leading consulting company for Indigenous arts and audiences. This play contains graphic imagery and is not intended for children.

Open to the public. Tickets: $8 for the public, $7 for seniors, and $5 for students with ID.
