WATERFORD — A Waterford woman, Jolene Rose, won the Fryeburg Recreation Department’s raffle at the Fryeburg Fair and chose a Jeep Wrangler.

The Fryeburg Recreation Department posted a video of a child picking a name out of a large scrambler containing several hundred entries on Oct. 6.

Many comments on Facebook were grateful that someone from Maine won the raffle.

Fryeburg Recreation Director Rick Buzzell said the department has been holding raffles since 1984 and usually raises about $20,000, although the totals for this year have not been tabulated yet.

Rose chose the red Jeep Wrangler from four different available prizes, Buzzell said.
