Q&A
1) Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
Success would be if I can help make it more affordable to live here in Maine, along with more personal freedom from government overreach. Our elderly that are on fixed incomes can no longer afford to live in their own homes. Our children can not afford to live and work here in Maine. Maine has the sixth-highest electrical costs in the country and the highest in New England mostly due to legislative action in Augusta. Maine is ranked as one of the worst states for businesses and education. Why would any business want to locate in Maine? This directly affects the future of our elderly and children being able to live in Maine.
2) Characterize your view on public access to governmental business.
L.D. 227 gave minors that live in state and out of the state of Maine the right to have “gender affirming” care without parental notification or approval with taxpayer funds. These are decisions that affect life-changing implications that can not be totally reversed once made. I don’t agree with the government forcing people through tax payer funded laws that require Maine citizens to pay for other’s choices.
