To the Editor:
Friends, neighbors, and all Maine Senate District 19 residents, I am certain you are happy that this 2024 election cycle is coming to an end. Well, guess what? I am with you. I am exhausted, excited, and ready to hear your verdict. It has been said that this election is pivotal to the future of our Country and State. I agree.
It has been a real pleasure traveling around the district and meeting so many families all concerned about the future of Maine. I have listened to your questions and taken all of your interests to heart.
I pledge to you that I will bring the fresh conservative ideas that we have talked about to Augusta. My word is my bond, and I will not waiver in my promises to you on the trail and in my writings. Many of my public writings and ideas have been posted on my personal Facebook account for all to see and consider. I encourage you to read and consider them.
I am a lifelong Republican. I am a candidate with preconceived conservative leanings. However, unlike my opponent, I am not simply a well used cog in a party machine wheel running for the benefit of the party. I am an independent thinker with fresh ideas and a popularist point of view. I will listen to any and all ideas from any source, and if I conclude the idea will benefit the families in our district, I will not hesitate to get on board and support it. I am running for all of us.
Further, if I am fortunate enough to have earned your vote, I promise you that I will conduct my personal life, my professional life, and my representation of you in the Senate in a way that will maintain the respect, dignity, and honor of our families and our district they all deserve.
I am a candidate who knows what it means to have people depend on me. I currently meet a payroll every week and have done so for many years. My employees are like family. Thus, lower taxes and fewer regulations are high on my list. Lower grocery prices, gasoline prices, and heating oil prices must happen. Finding exciting new ways to bring new high-paying jobs to our area is very important to me.
Getting men out of women’s sports and boys out of girls rest rooms is important to me. Getting the Trans agenda, or any other agenda, out of schools is a must. Finding ways to offer higher education opportunities, and after high school vocational education to our children is of paramount importance to western Maine and to me.
Finally, please know that all of you are important to me. Political affiliation will not factor into my representation of you. If you ever have a concern, a question, or an idea you think will benefit all, please call me, text me, or send me an email. My phone and text number 207-500-1220. My email is [email protected].
I would certainly be proud if you would go to the polls and vote for me. Please bring your friends and family members. They all count, and I need and appreciate everyone. Thank you and God Bless.
Joseph “Joey” Martin
Senate Candidate for District #19
