TURNER — Maddie Morin’s two goals, both assisted by Ainsley Barry, led the third-seeded Leavitt field hockey team to a 3-0 win over No. 6 Old Town in the Class B North quarterfinals Thursday.
Morin scored for Leavitt (12-2-1) in the first and fourth quarters. Addie Twitchell added a goal in the third quarter.
The Hornets will travel to face second-seeded Cony (12-3) on Saturday. Leavitt defeated the Rams 5-1 on Sept. 7 in the teams’ only regular season meeting.
ST. DOMINIC 9, WAYNFLETE 0: Emily Andrews scored three goals and assisted on two others as the third-seeded Saints (9-5-1) earned a decisive Class C South quarterfinal victory over the sixth-seeded Flyers (7-5-1) in Auburn.
Three St. Dom’s players added two goals apiece: Ava Martin, Chloe Beauchesne and Abigail Labonte. Madeline Andrews had two assists, and Martin set up one goal.
The Saints advance to face No. 2 Hall-Dale/Monmouth (12-3) in the semifinals on Saturday.
