BETHEL —Senior Players of Western Mountains Senior College are gearing up for their annual performance with a special treat for their audience this year. They will present three original plays that were written by members of the cast plus one play, “The Good Deed,” by playwright, Jim Gordon. A number of veteran Senior Players met during the summer and developed an interest in writing plays. They will proudly present their three original plays for the first time at the annual performance to be held at Gould Academy’s McLaughlin Auditorium on Friday, November 22, at 7 p.m., with a Matinee on Saturday, November 23, at 2 p.m. The plays and their writers include “Thanksgiving Dinner with the Franks” by John Reilly and Bridget Remington, “The 57th Annual Meeting of the Rainy-Day Garden Club” by John Reilly, and “Another Christmas Story: Who Cares?” written by Mary Hickey and Lia Paliocha.
This year’s Senior Players include Lainey Cross, Bill Corrigan, Mariann Goff, Mary Hickey, Tom Hoyt, Elaine Hutchins, Mary LeConey, Tim LeConey, Lia Paliocha, Gail Parent, Bruce Pierce, John Reilly, Bridget Remington, Bill Schuellein and Rosabelle Tifft.
