LEWISTON — A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital Tuesday night after a serious accident on Sabattus Street, police said.

Lewiston police Lt. Derrick St. Laurent said few details were available as of 10:35 p.m.

The unnamed motorcyclist was transported to Central Maine Medical Center with injuries that were likely not life-threatening, St. Laurent said.

Early reports indicate the crash happened in the area of 692 Sabattus St.

St. Laurent said more information would be available Wednesday morning.
