NORWAY — The Community Children’s Theater is set to hold its performance of Sally K. Albrecht and Jay Althouse’s musical, “Snow Way Out,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Second Congregational Church, 205 Main St.
The public is invited to the free performance. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
Since early September, a cast of 10 students have been participating in the free weekly musical theater workshop, sponsored by the Second Congregational Church.
In the show, Jack and Jackie Frost have just finished renovating Winter Wonderland, a fabulous North Country resort. Winter. The staff, the Frostbites, are busily getting everything ready for the grand reopening festivities. Guests start to arrive, but there is no snow. Everyone is getting anxious. At last, the final special guest, Old Man Winter arrives-and with him the much-anticipated precipitation, according to a news release from Kate Wood with the theater.
Directed by Shirli Allen, the production is assisted by Bette Ann Whitten and Wood. Ed Baldridge accompanies the troop on piano.
A light reception will follow the production. Church members are asked to make finger food for the reception. Donation baskets will be available to those who wish to financially support the Children’s Community Theater program.
For more information, call Allen at the church office at 207-743-2290.
