Liane C. Therriault

LEWISTON – Liane C. Therriault, 101, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at Andwell Hospice House on the evening of Nov. 20, 2024, with her beloved family by her bedside. She was born in Lewiston, March 18, 1923, to Joseph V. and Emelia (Therriault) Chenard. She married the love of her life Roger B. Therriault in Lewiston on Aug. 23, 1947 at St. Peter’s Church.

She attended St. Peter’s Grammar School, St. Dominic Cours Superieur for two years and completed at Lewiston High School. Following school, she was employed at S.S. Kresge’s, Lablanc Clothing, and lastly Bates Manufacturing Company as an administrative assistant for over 30 years. She proudly volunteered 25 years working at St. Dominic Academy in the business office. She was a member of the Lewiston Senior Citizens and was an officer in Union St Jean Baptiste Conseil.

Liane had many interests and activities which kept her busy after retirement. Being with her family was always her favorite thing to do. She was a loving and supporting Mom, Memere, and Great-Memere and she never missed a weekly Sunday family lunch where she regularly beat the family at cribbage, pinochle and other assorted card games. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing her accordion. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed going to 4 o’clock mass and saying her many prayers.

Liane is survived by her children, Doris (Harry), Joline (Ron); and seven grandchildren, Kathy, Jenny, Kimberly (Todd), Jeff, Amy, Andrew (Kelley), and Carolyn (Aaron). She had four great-grandchildren she adored who brought a smile to her face, Caden, Emmalyn, Addilyn and Arlo; her dear cat Izzy; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband of 38 years, Roger C. Therriault, preceded her in death in 1986. Liane will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank Andwell Home Health and Hospice House for the compassionate care they provided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 25, at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Church. Committal Prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery will follow.
