Heywood Club
NORWAY — The Heywood Club in Norway will again be having its “Lights of Love” Christmas Tree at the four corners intersection on Crockett Ridge. This year our tree will be named “Dominic” for a young man whose life ended way too soon. A portion of our profits will be given to the Forestry Department of the OHCHS technical school in his memory. The rest will go to our maintenance fund to help us replace a sill on the backside of our 117-year-old building. You can help us achieve this by purchasing a bulb for the tree in honor or memory of someone you love.
They will be $5 each and the tree will be lighting up the 4 corners by the club from Sunday, December 1 through New Year’s Eve. We appreciate all the support you have given us in the past few years. You can send your donations by check to the Ladies Heywood Club, addressed to Barbara Townsend, 475 Crockett Ridge Rd. Norway, Maine 04268. Barbara can be reached at 207-890-2103 with any questions. We look forward to seeing you on the second Saturday in June 2025 for our “7-Mile Yard Sale.” The tree lighting will be held on Sunday, December 1 at 4 p.m. at the Club House at the 4 corners on Crockett Ridge. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
