Often, we have long-term resident cats or dogs who need a particular type of household, or those who don’t stand out much to humans – like our Solone. A good Samaritan found Solone in their yard with her kittens, and she wasn’t very friendly, which led us to believe she had been living outside for quite some time. Fast forward a year and a half, Solone’s kittens have all found their forever homes, and she now lives her life in our community room, enjoying the company of other cats. Solone may not be the most affectionate cat here at RPC, but she has worked hard to trust humans. She used to hide and swat hands away when someone came near, but now, she waits for gentle head pats and of course, all the wet food she can get. If you can open your heart and home to a new roommate, we ask that you consider Solone. Her ideal home would be a quiet one and she would be open to having cat siblings to spend the rest of her years with.
