Key losses: Luke Johnson, Landon Foster, Brandon Smith, Ray Dineen, Oliver Rodrigue.
Promising newcomers: Seniors — Cale Harrington, Caleb Lerette; Juniors — Caleb Morgan, Jacob Lyons; Freshman — Jackson Wing.
Season outlook: The Cony co-op is looking to make another playoff run after reaching the B North semifinals last winter. Dieuveuil said he likes the balance of having several returners and key newcomers, and he hopes the Rams can continue to improve their discipline from last season.
EDWARD LITTLE RED EDDIES
Coach: Kevin Smith (first year)
Class: A

Top returners: Seniors — Andrew Clements, Joey Samson; Juniors — Ben Poulin, Breccan Albert, Cam Roy, Braydin Gatto; Sophomores — Jack Caron, Derek Hart.
Key losses: Brooks Hefty, Peyton Dyer, Camren Dufour, Joe Martel.
Promising newcomers: Freshman — Nolan Heath.
Season outlook: Smith, who has taken over after Norm Gagne’s retirement, said he likes the way the roster is shaping up for the 2024-2025 season. The Red Eddies have three solid lines, each of which Smith said will contribute in its own way. The defense should also be a strength for Edward Little as it aims to return to the playoffs.
LAKE REGION/FRYEBURG ACADEMY/OXFORD HILLS ICE CATS
Coach: Wayne Neiman (fifth year)
Class: A
Last year’s results: 7-11
Top returners: Seniors — Neil Heath, Seamus Coleman, Marshall Tibbetts; Juniors — Garrett Wooster, Conner Richard, Dilen Drew; Sophomores — Gunner Truman, Charlie Herrick.
Key losses: Kadan Neureuther, Jacob Lemery, Myles Willimann.
Promising newcomers: Senior — Julian Brito; Juniors — Jokubas Mostavicius, Brody Patenaude, Harlan Kory; Sophomores — Kiefer Galligan, Forest Lemery.
Season outlook: The Ice Cats want to be in the playoff mix this winter after missing out in 2023-24. Gunner Truman is the top returning scorer (16 goals and 10 assists) and will look to build off his freshman season. Marshall Tibbetts and Garrett Wooster will take on bigger roles on defense.
LEWISTON BLUE DEVILS
Coach: Sam Cloutier (first year)
Class: A
Last year’s results: 17-4, Class A champions.
Top returners: Seniors — Andrew Theriault, Colten Daniels, Ben Junkins, Nate Metivier, Charlie Foster, Will Routhier; Juniors — Aiyzk Laliberte, Austin Landry, Jacoby Oliveira; Sophomore — Cam Plourde.
Key losses: Gabe Pomerleau, Cody Dionne, Dylan Blue, Ethan Blue, Hayden Brown, Deano Scalia.
Promising newcomers: Senior — Curtis Plourde.
Season outlook: With key returning forwards and solid depth at defense, the defending state champions should be in contention for another title run this season. Cloutier said discipline will be key for the Blue Devils.
MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE EAGLES
Coach: AJ Kavanaugh (10th season)
Region: South; Class: B
Last year’s results: 1-16-1
Top returners: Seniors — Gerek Theriault, Griffin Ridlon, Oscar Nelson; Juniors — Brennan Fitzpatrick, Caleb MacDonald, Tristan Huot, Kai Stock Ford; Sophomore — Gavin Wallace.
Key losses: Jacob Fullerton, Jameson Fowler, Dylan Richards, Alex Newman.
Promising newcomers: Senior — Hayden Brown; Sophomore — Lawson Mayer; Freshmen — Parker Crafts, Anthony Kavanaugh, Bryce Ward.
Season outlook: The Eagles are bullish about the 2024-25 season. Solid forwards Gerek Theriault, Brennan Fitzpatrick and Caleb MacDonald are back, while transfer Hayden Brown won a state title with Lewiston last winter. Kavanaugh expects the freshmen will also factor into the Eagles’ success.
POLAND/LEAVITT/OAK HILL/GRAY-NEW-GLOUCESTER KINGS
Coach: Jason Rouleau (third year)
Region: South; Class: B
Last year’s results: 17-4, lost in regional final.
Top returners: Seniors — Brody Emond, Breck Langevin, Isaac Omberg, Forrest St. Laurent; Juniors — Bradley Dupile, Pete Lacomb; Sophomore — Mason Aldrich.
Key losses: Connor Boulay, Will Keach, Ian Guerin, Luke Gladu, Talen Langevin.
Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Nathan Karkos; Freshmen — Koen Fairbanks, Kullen Ormberg, Tyler Mates, Hobey Duffy, Everett Michaud.
Season outlook: The Kings are looking to build off a fantastic 2023-24 season, when they reached the Class B South final. Most Class B South coaches expect the Kings to be contenders again. Rouleau said the team’s focus will be on playing defense in all three zones.
ST. DOMINIC SAINTS
Coach: Marc Frenette (first year)
Class: A
Last year’s results: 13-4-2, lost in quarterfinals.
Top returners: Seniors — Curtis Wheeler, Luke Davidson; Juniors — Ben Dumais, Connor St. George, Spencer Morgan, Joey Adams, Riley Daigle, Colton Dionne.
Key losses: Timothee Ouellette, Jayden Lynn, Ridge Dionne, Ethan Pelletier.
Promising newcomers: Junior — Ashton Additon; Sophomore — Deano Scalia; Freshman — Finley Cavers.
Season outlook: The Saints look to be contenders again after a 13-win season last season. With several options at forward, Frenette is expecting contributions from throughout the lineup. He also likes the team’s depth in goal.
