Rick and Brianna Bourgeois of Greene and their children, RJ and Sophie, follow Rosemary Clow into the Rumford Group Home on Friday in Leeds. The family delivered a Christmas tree, decorations, clothing and toys for five families to the house where 12 members of the unhoused community live. RJ Bourgeois, 12, raised funds throughout the year to provide Christmas for children in need. “If a kid ever needs something, I am here to help,” he said. The Bourgeois family plans to deliver gifts Monday to the Ronald McDonald House and Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland. A sixth grader at Greene Central School, RJ has raised over $21,000 since he started his mission when he was 5 years old. “My heart is truly in the cause,” he said.
