LISBON — Town Council members approved a pay increase Tuesday for Town Manager Glenn Michalowski.

The councilors had delayed approving the pay increase at their last meeting after debating the issue.

Some councilors wanted to wait until Michalowski’s performance review was complete before approving the raise, while others felt that the town manager had waited long enough for a raise as that review was overdue — which was not to Michalowski’s fault. There was no discussion among councilors at Tuesday’s meeting before approving the raise.

The pay increase is roughly $6 more per hour than the $54 per hour he was making, according to documents from the Dec. 3 meeting. All councilors approved the pay increase except Mark Lunt, who was absent from the meeting.
