ONEONTA, N.Y. — Nicholas Tirrell of Turner was named to the 2024 fall dean’s list at Hartwick College. Tirrell is a Business Administration and Sociology major.

To qualify, students must complete at least 12 academic credits during a term with a grade point average of at least 3.50 and no incompletes.

Grove City College

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Grove City College has announced local students were named to the fall 2024 semester dean’s list.

Jonah Chen of Auburn, a junior biochemistry major, has been named to the dean’s list with distinction. Chen is a 2023 graduate of Edward Little High School and is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Yen-Chang Chen (Wei-li Yu).

Grace Langworthy of Bowdoinham, a freshman design and innovation major, has been named to the dean’s list with distinction. Langworthy is a 2023 homeschool graduate and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Langworthy (Vera).

Dylan Gottlieb of Mount Vernon, a freshman accounting major, has been named to the dean’s list with distinction. Gottlieg is a 2024 homeschool graduate and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Gottlieb (Kristen).

Christian Viekman of New Gloucester, a sophomore computer science major, has been named to the dean’s list with distinction. Viekman is a 2023 graduate of Greater Portland Christian School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Viekman (Denise).

Kaylynn Johnson of Otisfield, a senior psychology-BS major, has been named to the dean’s list with high distinction. Johnson is a 2021 homeschool graduate  and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Johnson (Charity).

Students eligible for the dean’s list have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the dean’s list with distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84; and for the dean’s list with high distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

University of Alaska Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — Ashirah Knapp of Temple has been named to the fall 2024 chancellor’s list at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

WORCESTER, Mass. — Three local students were named to the2024-25 fall semester dean’s list at College of the Holy Cross for outstanding academic achievement.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Piper Dedek of Topsham has been named to the fall 2024 semester honor roll at Rhodes College.

Vermont State University

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. — Ben Jalbert of Lewiston has earned dean’s list honors for the 2024 fall 2024 semester at Vermont State University.

TAMPA, Fla. — The University of Tampa has announced local students named to the dean’s list for the fall 2024 semester.

GOSHEN, Ind. — Isabelle Langelier of Auburn, a junior sign language interpreting major, was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Goshen College. Langelier is a graduate of Edward Little High School.

The honor requires a minimum 3.75 GPA, while completing at least 12 hours of coursework for a letter grade.

Champlain College

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Champlain College has announced local students named to the dean’s list, trustees’ list and president’s list for the fall 2024 semester.

Juliette Albert of Stow, majoring in business administration, and Seth Riddensdale of Fryeburg, majoring in game programming, were named to the dean’s list for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Luc Evans of Lisbon and Maia Tebbets of Lisbon Falls were named to the trustees’ list. They achieved a 4.0 grade point average for two or more consecutive semesters.

ATLANTA, Ga. — Three local students have been recognized for academic achievement by Georgia Institute of Technology.

Robert Sharp of Durham and Grace Trebilcock of Topsham were presented degrees Dec. 12-14, 2024, during the institutes 267th commencement exercises at McCamish Pavilion and Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Zhanbo Lin of Wilton earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for summer 2024 at the institute. Earning a 4.0 academic average for the semester. Lin also made the 2024 fall dean’s list at the institute with a 3.0 or higher GPA academic average for the semester.

Georgia State University

ATLANTA, Ga. — Austin Bergeron of New Gloucester earned Georgia State University’s Global Scholar Distinction during fall 2024 with a grade of “B” or better and keep an institutional grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Students earning the Global Scholar Distinction receive an official notice from Georgia State, a digital badge, and a cord at graduation.

The College of Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Anna Seridge of Lewiston has been named to the 2024 winter president’s list at The College of Charleston with a GPA of 3.8 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Abilene Christian University

ABILENE, Texas — Gretchen Castro of Auburn has been named to the 2024 fall dean’s honor roll at Abilene Christian University. Castro is a junior Communication Disorders major.

ADELPHI, Md. — Jonathan Grant of Raymond was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2024 term at the University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5.

Vermont State University

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. — Heen Saucier of South Paris has graduated with the December 2024 class at Vermont State University. Saucier was also named to the president’s list for the fall 2024 semester.

The university has also announced local students who have received dean’s list honors and president’s list honors for the fall 2024 semester.

These students achieved a GPA between 3.50 and 3.69 and completed at least 12 credit hours during the semester.
