Madison Dow scored a game-high 17 points to lead Class B South Mountain Valley to a 41-36 girls basketball victory over B North Maranacook on Thursday in Readfield.

Alyvia Theriault scored 10 points and Layce Boucher added nine for the Falcons (8-7).

Alice Ferran’s 13 points and 20 rebounds led the Black Bears (8-6), and Kayla Dubois had 10 points, including three 3-pointers.

ERSKINE 62, LEAVITT 39: The Eagles’ (12-2) fast-break offense was too much for the Hornets (8-6) in the Class B matchup in Turner.

Erskine’s Kelsie Dunn led all scorers with 17 points. Kienna Morse added 14 points to the victory, and Olivia Childs and Lauryn Northrup contributed 11 apiece.

Caitlyn McCoy made three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 13 points for Leavitt. Gabby Smith finished with 12 and Jordyn Boulay had 10.

VALLEY 72, BUCKFIELD 16: Madeline Hill scored 19 points and added nine steals as the Cavaliers won in Bingham.

Rylee Clark contributed 14 points for Valley (13-0), while Liana Hartwell had 12 points and seven assists and Bri Mills scored 10.

Kianna Finnegan led the Bucks (11-3) with five points.

WELLS 67, POLAND 46: Maren Maxon scored 23 points in the first half to lift the Warriors over the Knights in Wells.

Maxon finished with 33 points, including five 3-pointers, and nine rebounds for Wells (9-4). Haley Marshall added 15 points, while Megyn Martens had 10 points and five steals. Payton Fazzina had six points and seven assists.

Charlotte Grenier had 11 points for Poland (10-3), and Alaina Hamlin finished with nine. Grenier and Hamlin each made three 3-pointers.

MADISON 70, LISBON 22: Emma Anton and Jaelyn Lenko each scored 13 points to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Greyhounds in Madison.

Brookelyn Lenko and Audrey Woods each added nine points for Madison (9-3).

Hannah Perron led Lisbon (0-15) with 10 points, while Elizabeth Ferero added eight points.

MONMOUTH 39, DIRIGO 30: The Mustangs (9-5) struggled through the middle quarters but started and finished strong to claim victory over the Cougars (10-6) in Dixfield.

Monmouth opened up a 14-8 lead after one quarter, but was limited eight points in the second and third quarters combined and entered the fourth trailing 23-22. The Mustangs, who held Dirigo to two third-quarter points, outscored Dirigo 17-7 in the final eight minutes of the game.

Monmouth’s Kaitlyn Frost scored a game-high 18 points, including eight at the free-throw line. Teammate Maeve Burgess scored five of her nine points at the line.

Abby Luczynski had a team-high 10 points for Dirigo.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LEAVITT 50, ERSKINE 41: Colin Schlobohm scored 21 points as the Hornets won in China, despite being held scoreless in the second quarter.

Jacob Gibbs made three 3-pointers and added 15 points for Leavitt (7-7), which led 20-11 after one quarter but was outscored 9-0 in the second.

Wyatt Michaud led the Eagles (6-8) with 15 points.

POLAND 64, WELLS 44: Damon Martin scored 20 points and the Knights (9-4) beat the Warriors (3-10) in Poland.

Nick Jamo added 16 points and Jacob Jamo had 11 for Poland.

Jeremy Therrien scored 18 points for Wells.

VALLEY 68, BUCKFIELD 46: The Cavaliers outscored the Bucks 46-23 in the second half to remain unbeaten with a victory in Bingham.

Fisher Tewksbury led Valley (13-0) with 21 points. Kamdyn Conrad and Harry Louis scored 14 points apiece.

Gaven Parsons was Buckfield’s (5-9) high scorer with 14 points, while Krosby Harvey finished with nine and Trenton Haskell had eight points.

BOYS HOCKEY

LEAVITT/GNG/POLAND/OAK HILL 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Brody Emond scored twice, including the overtime winner and added an assist in Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester’s (6-5) win over Cape Elizabeth (2-10) at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland.

Breck Langevin recorded a goal and an assist for the Kings, and goalie Taylor Brann made 40 saves.

Bennett Hooper and Brady Hanisko scored for the Capers. Nathan Hanisko had 12 saves.
