
Fred E. “Bud” Pike Jr.
AUBURN – Fred E. “Bud” Pike Jr., 85, of Auburn, passed away at home on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025.
He was born in Auburn on Sept. 18, 1939, the son of Viola and Fred Pike Sr. He graduated from Edward Little High and spent four years in the U.S. Navy. He married Judy Peterson on March 17, 1962. Bud was employed at the Sun Journal for 42 years. Bud enjoyed fishing, bowling, yard work, and card games.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Malone of Lewiston, a son, Carl Pike of Auburn; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Fred was predeceased by his wife of 53 years; his parents; a son, Fred Pike III, a daughter, Barbara Jean Callahan; a brother, Bert Mason Jr., and sisters Dora Marcum and Kathy Alexander.
A graveside service will be held in May/June at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, 200 Mt. Auburn Ave., Auburn. Condolences may be expressed at https://www.funeralalternatives.net/
