Edward Little pulled away in the second half to wrap up its regular season with a 51-31 victory over rival Lewiston in a Class AA North girls basketball contest Friday in Lewiston.

The Blue Devils trailed 18-14 at halftime, but the Red Eddies seized control with a 17-4 third quarter.

Edward Little’s (12-6) Rachel Penny sank five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points. Laylay Facchiano and Elizabeth Galway contributed nine points apiece.

Bailey Tardif-Mockler hit three 3s and led Lewiston (3-15) with 17 points.

The Red Eddies will host an AA North quarterfinal next week, likely as the third seed. Lewiston will be the seventh seed and travel to face No. 2 Cheverus (13-5).

ST. DOMINIC 45, WAYNFLETE 27: Piper Croteau’s nine-point first quarter jump-started the Saints (13-5) to a victory over the Flyers (6-12) in the regular-season finale for both teams in Auburn.

St. Dom’s freshman JuJu Farrington led all scores with 20 points, including three 3-pointers. Croteau finished with 11 points, and Charli Apodaca had eight.

Lauren McNutt-Girouard led Waynflete with nine points.

POLAND 41, CAPE ELIZABETH 24: Phoebe Paradis led the Knights (12-6) with 11 points and Lise Poublan added nine in a win over the Capers (0-18) at Cape Elizabeth.

Finley DiGiovanni scored nine points for Cape Elizabeth.

LEAVITT 46, MARANACOOK 36: Jordyn Boulay hit four 3-pointers and scored 13 points to pace the Hornets (12-6) past the Black Bears (9-9) in Readfield.

Gabby Smith added 11 points and Caitlyn McCoy finished with 10 for Leavitt.

Maranacook’s leading scorer was Celia Bergdahl with 11 points, followed by Alice Ferran with 10.

OXFORD HILLS 70, WESTBROOK 54: Ella Pelletier poured in 35 points in what was likely her final game in Oxford Hills’ gym, and the Vikings capped the regular season with a victory over the Blue Blazes in Paris.

Oxford Hills (16-2), ranked second in the Varsity Maine girls basketball poll, finishes the regular season on a 10-game win streak, and, as the top seed, in Class AA North will have a bye into the semifinals.

Pelletier scored 33 of her points in the first three quarters. Gabbie Tibbetts, another Oxford Hills senior, added 15 points.

Lyla Dunphe led Westbrook (8-10) with 16 points, while Kylie Young contributed 10 and Emma Boulette had nine points, all in the fourth quarter.

BOYS BASKETBALL

VALLEY 83, RANGELEY 44: Harry Louis scored 23 points to lift the Valley boys basketball team to a win over Rangeley on Friday night in Rangeley.

Fisher Tewksbury added 17 points and Kamdyn Conrad had 15 for Valley (17-0).

Brayden Thompson scored 20 points and Sam Morrill finished with 12 for Rangeley (4-14).

POLAND 78, CAPE ELIZABETH 71: Lucas Verrill’s 22 points paced the Knights (13-5) in their win over the Capers (6-12) on the final day of the regular season in Poland.

Verrill was consistent throughout the game, scoring 12 points in the first half and 10 in the second. Jacob Jamo added 18 points for Poland, while Damon Martin chipped in 17 and Nick Jamo had nine. Verrill and Nick Jamo are sophomores, Jacob Jamo is a freshman and Martin is a junior.

Cape Elizabeth’s Eli Smith hit eight 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 27 points.

LEAVITT 63, MARANACOOK 56: Colin Schlobohm led the way with 20 points as the Hornets (10-8) took down the Black Bears (8-10) in Turner.

Leavitt finishes the regular season on a three-game winning streak.

Dane Cabral added 12 points, Jacob Gibbs scored 12 and Darren Flagg made three 3-pointers for nine points. Schlobohm also hit three treys.

Jack Fontaine led Maranacook with 14 points, including 9-of-12 shooting from the free-throw line. Ethan Chilton and Mitchell Maceda each chipped in eight points.

OXFORD HILLS 81, WESTBROOK 79: Gabe Damon made a fallaway jumper off an inbounds play with eight-tenths of a second remaining in overtime to lift the Vikings (8-10) over the Blue Blazes (3-15) in Westbrook.

Westbrook forced overtime when Moses Semuhoza beat the regulation buzzer with a putback off his own intentionally missed free throw. But the Blue Blazes wound up with their eighth loss this season by three points or less.

Carter Holbrook led Oxford Hills with 23 points, including five 3-pointers. Brayden Murch scored 20 points and Cameron Pulkkinen had 13.

The Blue Blazes got 19 points from Semuhoza, 13 each from Sebastian Michaud and Paddy Walsh, and 12 from Gio Staples.
