LEWISTON — Lewiston-Auburn Youth Network announced Friday that Neighborhood Talent, a new local youth soccer team, will join the United Premier Soccer League Academy Division in the New England Conference for the spring season.
Neighborhood Talent will celebrate its spring 2025 partnership with a three-hour game Saturday from 8-11 p.m. at Ingersoll Arena Turf Facility, 48 Pettengill Park in Auburn.
“This event is dedicated to our youth, offering them a chance to showcase their skills, build teamwork, and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer in a safe environment,” Lewiston-Auburn Youth Network Executive Director Iman Osman said.
The team of 13-to-18-year-olds is led by Lewiston High School alumnus Liban Negeye, a former goalkeeper for the Blue Devils. The team is being sponsored by Lewiston-Auburn Youth Network, Executive Director Iman Osman said.
“This partnership aims to keep our youth engaged and off the streets by providing them with positive opportunities,” Osman said.
The United Premier Soccer League is the largest Pro Development League in North America with nearly 400 clubs and is a National Affiliate member of the U.S. Soccer Federation, according to its website.
