Lewiston Auburn Senior College’s spring semester courses begin in April.

• “Accessible, Affordable and Supportive Housing in Maine,” is set to begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St., Auburn, and on Zoom.

Paul Linet, founder and CEO of 3i Housing of Maine, a nonprofit organization working to promote independent community based living options for adults (of all ages) with disabilities, will detailing their accessible housing developments.

“Astronomy, Space Science and the Environment,” will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Auburn Public Library and on Zoom.

Douglas N. Arion, Ph.D., producer of “Defending the Dark, “a documentary on dark skies in Maine that has been shown on PBS, will lead a workshop.

Botany of Non Flowering Plants with Jeff Pengel, L-A Metro Chamber of Commerce, 415 Lisbon St., Suite 100, Lewiston. This six-week course will take place 3-4:30 p.m. starting Wednesday, April 16.

Cajun, Creole and Soul Food with Larry Canepa at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Auburn Public Library. A Zoom option will also be available.

• Card Making for Beginners with Jo McDougall will be offered at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Auburn Public Library. Students will learn the basics of making greeting cards.

Conservation Dogs Sniffing Out Science, at the Auburn Public Library and on Zoom at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 8. Lindsay Ware will introduce participants to the work of Science Dogs of New England, an organization that trains both dogs and their human handlers to use the superior scent-detection abilities of dogs for low-impact conservation and research work.

I Remember: A Flash Memoir Workship with Barbara Gravinese will take place from 1-3 p.m. for six weeks beginning Thursday, April 3, at Auburn Public Library. Flash Memoir is a short form, non-fiction way of recording memories.

Introduction to Birdwatching with Dr. Loring Danforth will be held at Auburn Public Library and on Zoom at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 6.

Phantom Punch: Contemporary Art from Saudi Arabia with Dr. Loring Danforth will be held at Auburn Public Library and on Zoom at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 .

Rock of Ages with Stephen Carnahan will take place on Zoom and at the Auburn Lewiston Airport. This six-week course will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23.

A Spring Guided Nature Walk will be led by Alan and Linda Seamans at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Beaver Park, Cotton Road, Lisbon. All participants will be asked to complete a Liability Release and Emergency Contact Forms prior to the walk. No entry fee is required. Participants should bring binoculars if possible. Rain date will be Thursday, May 29.

The Goodness Paradox, a six-week course led by Steve Piker on Zoom only, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6.

• Travelogue: Vietnam and Cambodia, presented by Bill Frayer and Bill Phillips, will be held on Zoom and at Auburn Public Library 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22.

• What Put the Roar in the Roaring 20s?, led by Diane Parker on Zoom only, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8.

• Yearning to Breathe Free: The Immigrant Experience in Maine will be led by Alexandra Magnaud, on Zoom and at Auburn Public Library, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20.

The catalog will be available at lewiston-auburn-senior-college.coursestorm.com beginning Saturday, March 1. Registration opens Saturday, March 15.
