Claire Holcombe displays her first fish Saturday, Feb. 15 on Haley Pond in Rangeley while Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust conservation biologist Jason Latham looks on. Holcombe caught the 16-inch brook trout during a family fun day of ice fishing, co-organized by RLHT and Rangeley Region Guides & Sportsmen’s Association. The event was held during Maine Department of Inland Fish & Wildlife’s annual free fishing weekend, Feb. 15 and 16, when participants can fish without a license. Stay tuned for more outdoor activities hosted by RLHT and RRG&SA by following them on Facebook. Submitted photo
