100 Years Ago: 1925
Dr. Charles H. Tobie of Mechanic Falls left an estate valued at $43,500 according to a petition for administration filed with the register of probate in Auburn, Wednesday. Of this $40,000 is personal estate, and the remaining $3,500 real estate.
The heirs are Mrs. Emma E. Tobie, widow of Dr. Tobie, and his two sons, Charles R. Tobie of Rangeley, and William A. Tobie of Mechanic Falls.
50 Years Ago: 1975
Marc Lessard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fernand O. Lessard of 89 Shawmut St., Lewiston, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, South Portland, where he is a senior in the two-year air conditioning and refrigeration course.

Linda G. Woods, a nurse-midwife, has joined the Central Maine Obstetrics-Gynecology professional staff. In her role with the Lewiston- based group health care practice, Woods provides holistic pregnancy and birthing services. She also manages a range of women’s health issues encompassing every age group.
