Bea Flynn scored two goals as Amherst advanced to the NCAA Division III women’s hockey semifinals Saturday with a 4-1 victory against Colby at Amherst, Massachusetts.
Flynn scored the opening goal in a two-goal first period, then added another in the second.
Ayla Abban and Natalie Fu also scored as Amherst (22-5-1) built a 4-0 lead before Anya Jiang answered for the Mules (18-7-2) with 10:03 remaining.
Amherst, which lost both regular-season games against Colby, will take on Middlebury, a 1-0 winner against Nazareth, in the semifinals.
