Donna J. Frost

MONMOUTH – Heaven welcomed a new angel as Donna J. Frost, 81, a resident of Monmouth, Maine, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. She was born on July 20, 1943, in Monmouth, the daughter of Eugene Tibbetts and Lila (Stevens) Tibbetts.

She attended schools in Monmouth and was a graduate of Monmouth Academy, class of 1961. She was a licensed cosmetologist and studied at Bernard’s School of Cosmetology in Lewiston. Donna was a beautician for many years serving a large clientele in the Monmouth area. On May 5, 1962, she married Kenneth W. Frost in Baltimore, Md. while he was stationed in the U.S. Army. They shared 47 wonderful years together raising their eight children. Donna loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the East Monmouth Auxiliary and the Monmouth Lion’s Club and was an active community volunteer and contributor.

Her laughter will be missed. Her stories will be missed. Her cooking will be missed.

Donna is survived by three daughters, Jana Armstrong and husband David of Monmouth, Jodi Caprara and husband Carl of Winthrop, Dania Price and husband Dennis of Readfield, and five sons, Rod Frost and wife Jackie of Gardiner, Rick Frost and wife Lauri of Monmouth, Darin Frost and wife Tamara of Monmouth, Ryan Frost and wife Lisa of Winthrop, and Keith Frost of Winthrop; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Randall Tibbetts and partner Pauline Melanson of Leeds; two special fur grandbabies; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Per Donna’s request, there will be no formal service. A graveside ceremony will be held later this summer.
