A missing Brunswick woman has been found safe, police said Thursday.

Brunswick police Chief Scott Stewart said in an updated news release Thursday afternoon that the 55-year-old woman was located “in a very remote wooded area in Brunswick.”

The Brunswick Police Department, Maine Warden Service and Maine Marine Patrol had been searching for the woman since Monday evening.
