DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Woman’s Literary Union will be holding its 12th Prom Gown Giveaway at Foss Mansion, 19 Elm St., Auburn, on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you have prom gowns/dresses to donate, they can dropped off at the Franco Center during box office hours. (Box office hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Go to the center’s main entrance (double red doors on the Oxford Street side of the building). You can also contact Denise at 261-5240.

Gowns and dresses can also be dropped off at Roger’s Haircutters (784-0251), or at Fontaine’s Real Estate (784-3800). Both businesses are in Auburn.

To make our Prom Gown Giveaway even more successful, we’re looking for both plus-size prom and short dresses. We’re also looking for sturdy dress racks.

We also need seamstresses so if you are someone who can make quick alterations and can bring your own sewing machine, please join us on Saturday from 9 a.m. to  2 p.m.
