As a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service, I cannot be still anymore.
Those who join the present president in denigrating the ability of the USPS to deliver the mail, all the while adding to the problem, really frustrate me. The administration’s attitude continues to make the problem worse.
President Trump’s solution — to privatize the Postal Service — would be sad were it not so completely absurd. Despite all of the vagaries, I firmly believe that the USPS does a great job. I am asking that each of us evaluate its service and think of what is currently going on in the presidential offices. Let’s please contact our postmasters, letter carriers and our elected officials to let them know we appreciate their service.
