Girl Scout leaders and scouts from Troop 5043 stand Sunday under an awning outside 229 Center St. in Auburn in the pouring rain during their annual cookie drive. The event is sponsored by Home at Last Real Estate Company, Guild Mortgage and Phenix Title Service. Clients of the companies were entitled to a free box of cookies and encouraged to also purchase as many as they wanted. Scout members and leaders took turns standing by the road with signs to alert passing motorists of the cookie sales.
