The Hartford Yard Goats tied the game with the help of an error in the second inning, then scored the go-ahead runs on an error in the fifth inning as they beat the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-3, in an Eastern League game Thursday night in Hartford, Connecticut.
Mikey Romero led off the game with his second home run of the season for the Sea Dogs, and Enderso Lira made it 3-0 with a two-run homer in the second.
Blake Wehunt took the loss, allowing five hits and six runs (three earned) in five innings. He struck out seven and walked one. Alex Hoppe recorded five strikeouts in three hitless innings of relief.
