SOUTH PARIS — Two people were arrested Thursday afternoon when police raided a home on Park Street, where investigators said they seized crack cocaine, oxycodone and other drugs and at least one firearm.
Billie Coolidge, 47, of Waterford was arrested on a probation hold at the scene. James Tapley, 52, a transient said to have been living in South Paris, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police said both men face felony charges as the investigation continues.
About 2 p.m., Paris police went to 21 Park St. after receiving “credible information” about criminal activity there, police wrote in a news release.
Because the occupants of the home were considered dangerous, police said, the Maine State Police Tactical Team assisted as the house was entered and the suspects arrested.
Police, fire and rescue teams from Oxford, Paris and Norway also assisted.
Police said in addition to crack and oxycodone, they also seized other drugs in pill form, although the types of drugs were not specified.
According to court records, Coolidge has a criminal history of possessing drugs, including heroin and fentanyl. Tapley has a history of burglaries in the area.
Both were taken to the Oxford County Jail where they remained Thursday night. Bail information on the suspects was not immediately available.
