ANSWER: I’m always happy to help all of you who are fundraising for your non-profit organizations. We would not even have Sun Spots without our faithful readers!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary is seeking items for their annual yard sale on Saturday, May 17. Indoor and outdoor furniture, household items, tools, books and puzzles are always popular items.
We are unable to accept large appliances or clothing. This is a great time to clean out your garage and attic and help support our worthy cause to raise money for much-needed hospital equipment. Members of the auxiliary will be at 209 Lincoln Ave. in Rumford to accept donations on Fridays, May 2, 9 and 16, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
For more information, please call 364-3648. — Barbara, Rumford
ANSWER: This is a great fundraiser and you can make it even better by donating items you no longer need and then showing up for the actual event.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am really hoping someone in Sun Spots Land knows of a good furnace cleaning service in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. — Betsy, Auburn
ANSWER: It would be wonderful to update the Rolodex as well. Please send in those recommendations to help Betsy and other readers with this service.
I’m always looking for recommendations to share with other Sun Spotters. Frequent requests are for plumbers, housecleaners, automobile detailers, stereo repair, handy people, carpenters, people who haul away junk and other unwanted items, and more. Let’s have a Sun Spots Spring Fling and fill the inbox with goodies to share.
