BREWER — Ava Dionne pitched a complete game to lead Lewiston to a 3-2 softball win over Brewer on Friday.

Dionne struck out five and allowed seven hits and two runs while only walking one batter.

Hailey Bellemare drove in two runs and Isabella Enos had three hits and scored twice for the Blue Devils (1-1).

Brewer’s Olivia Bragdon tripled and drove in a run, and Paige Oaks and Jill Ford each had two hits. Witches (0-1) pitcher Sarah Young also was impressive striking out nine and allowing six hits in seven innings.

ST. DOMINIC 13, WELLS 11: Emily Andrews continued her hot start with a home run and four RBI as the Saints (1-1) beat the Warriors (1-3) in Auburn.

Andrews, who also doubled and scored three runs, has seven hits and nine RBI in St. Dom’s two games this spring.

Her sister, Maddie Andrews, also hit a home run and earned the win by striking out nine. Chloe Croteau led the Saints with four hits, including a double, and four runs. Leah Shannon also doubled, and Piper Croteau tripled.

Savannah Tardiff and Delani Brown each had a double and three hits for Wells. Jada Pullen doubled twice and Payton Fazzina had two hits and scored four runs.

EDWARD LITTLE 6, MESSALONSKEE 5: Lexi Kelsea drove in Emily Poulin on a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth, then Chloe LeBlanc shut down the Eagles to give the Red Eddies (2-0) an extra-innings victory in Oakland.

Poulin reached on a one-out triple. LeBlanc recorded two of her nine strikeouts in the bottom of half of the eighth.

Lexi Kelsea finished with with three hits and three RBI. Kassidy Lobb also had three hits for Edward Little, and Nellie Feeney and Lauren Bolduc each had two singles, an RBI and scored a run.

Madison Wilson led Messalonskee (0-2) with a double and a single. She also struck out seven batters.

GREELY 18, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: The Rangers (3-0) scored 16 runs in the fourth inning and downed the Patriots (1-1) in four innings in Gray.

Katie Wallace, who was the winning pitcher, had four hits with two RBI, while Jenna Carignan (two hits) and Mia Stewart (three hits) each drove in three runs. Fiona MacArthur had three hits with two RBI, and Quinn Simpson and Lucia Axelsen each had two hits with two RBI.

LISBON 23, MT. ABRAM 2: The Greyhounds scored 20 of their 23 runs in the third and fourth innings to earn a four-inning victory in Salem Township.

Mackenzie Eaton pitched all four innings for Lisbon (2-0), allowing three hits and two runs while striking out seven batters. She also hit a home run, drove in four runs and scored three. Aubriana Bright led the Lisbon offense with five RBI and had four hits, including a triple. Mackenzie Theriault drove in three runs, and Ava Kottman, Sophia Bowie and Molly Austin had two RBI apiece.

Edna Bilodeau tripled and Aubrey Mills doubled for Mt. Abram (0-2).

LEAVITT 12, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Winning pitcher Hailey Turcotte drove in four runs, and Gabby Smith paced a 15-hit attack with five hits as the Hornets (2-0) defeated the Capers (0-2) in Cape Elizabeth.

Turcotte, Jordan Boulay and Ashlyn Holbrook all had two hits, and Brooke Boutaugh knocked in two runs for Leavitt.

Rylie McIntyre had a single and a double for Cape Elizabeth.

LEWISTON 10, BREWER 2: Spencer Chartier shut down the Witches, and the Blue Devils pulled away with a seven-run sixth inning in Brewer.

Chartier struck out 10 and limited Brewer to four hits and two runs. Lonnie Thomas tripled and was one of four Lewiston (1-1) batters to drive in two runs.

Jake Perry had two of the Witches’ four hits, and Logan Littlefield drove in both runs. Kaiden Morin started on the mound for Brewer and struck out 13 over five innings.

BASEBALL

CAPE ELIZABETH 10, LEAVITT 0: Brady Inman pitched a no-hitter and had three hits as the Capers (2-0) beat the Hornets (0-1) in Cape Elizabeth.

Inman struck out nine and didn’t issue any walks. Andy Choie added two hits and two RBI, while Finn Connolly and Jamieson Bryant each had two RBI and two runs scored. Jimmy Hollowell also drove in a run.

GREELY 17, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Ben Kyles was 4 for 4 with a double, two RBI and two runs as the Rangers (2-0) beat the Patriots (0-2) in Gray.

Kyle Soule added two hits, including a home run, drove in three and scored three runs for Greely. Luke Piper hit a home run, drove in five runs and scored three times. Keeler Vogt added two hits, two RBI and two runs.

POLAND 2, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: Cade Johnson drove in two runs in the sixth inning to give the Knights (1-1) at win over the Panthers (1-1) in Poland.

Johnson had three hits, including a double. Poland reliever Eliot Rioux didn’t allow a hit in three innings to earn the win.

Gabe Lash had a double for Medomak Valley, which scored on an error in the first inning.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 11, BOOTHBAY 2: Four Monmouth Academy pitchers combined on a two-hitter as the Mustangs opened their season with a win over the Seahawks (0-2) in Boothbay Harbor.

Rory Shardlow, Rory Foyt, Jake Harmon and Levi Laverdiere shared pitching duties for the Mustangs. Foyt struck out three and didn’t allow a hit in 2 2/3 innings after Shardlow pitched the first 2 1/3 innings.

Bryce Fletcher scored three runs and drove in two to lead Monmouth’s offense. The Mustangs grabbed a 4-1 lead with three runs in the second inning, then broke the game open with a five-run fifth.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4, HALL-DALE 1: Josh Pollis drove in two runs in the Falcons’ (1-1) win over the Bulldogs (1-1) in Rumford.

Pollis also struck out four batters in two innings of relief to earn the save. Bradley Sirois was the winning pitcher, allowing one hits and one run while striking out five in five innings.

Pollis, Tyler Warren, and Rilan Farnum each had two hits for Mountain Valley. Sirois and Farnum hit a double a piece.

Hall-Dale pitcher Keegan Cary fanned 10 batters in six innings. He also drove in the Bulldogs’ lone run on a sacrifice in the top of the first inning. Trever Kalloch doubled and had two of Hall-Dale’s five hits.

MESSALONSKEE 10, EDWARD LITTLE 9: The Eagles (2-0) scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally past the Red Eddies (1-1) in Oakland.

Messalonskee trailed 9-5 entering its half of the seventh, during which Denny Martin hit a three-run home run and Fin Minkel singled home Michael Achorn for the game-winning run.

Achorn finished with three hits and two runs. Sean Achorn had two hits, including a triple, and scored three runs, while Parker Reynolds drove in three runs on two hits.

Edward Little shortstop TJ Kramarz tripled, doubled and singled and drove in two runs. Blake Chamberlain added two hits and two RBI, and Adam Meserve had two hits and scored twice.

WINTHROP 9, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 5: Will Grant hit a home run and drove in three runs for the Ramblers in Jay.

Braden Branagan had a triple and three runs for Winthrop (2-0). Grant, Trent Collin, Finn Barrett and Connor Williams had two hits apiece.

Connor Foss finished with two runs and two hits for Spruce Mountain (0-2).

MT. BLUE 5, MT. ARARAT 4: Dane Cousineau had two hits and two RBI for the Cougars in a season-opening win over the Eagles (1-1) in Topsham.

Nolan Leso earned the win, allowing four runs (three earned) over six innings. Aiden Wilkins retired the final three batters for a save.

Caiden Chase had two of Mt. Ararat’s seven hits.

BOYS LACROSSE

LEWISTON 7, MT. BLUE 5: Nick Beaucage’s four goals and one assist led the Blue Devils to a win over the Cougars in Lewiston.

Colin Michaud scored two goals and had three assists for Lewiston (2-0), and freshman Bernando Fra-Nero scored his first career goal. Blue Devils goalie Brock Rancourt stopped 12 of the 17 shots he faced.

Tyler Abell, Bode Markham, Cameron Ranger, Luc Walker and Cannon Smith scored for Mt. Blue (0-2).

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 10, EDWARD LITTLE 2: Ashten Golebiewski tallied six goals to lead the 26ers (1-1) past the Red Eddies (1-1) in Auburn.

GNG/Poland also got three goals from Tucker Nelson and a goal and three assists from Charlie Gilbert. Jameson Hart made 15 saves for the 26ers.

MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 11, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 9: Caleb Morgan scored six goals, and the Hawks (3-0) overcame an early three-goal deficit against the Raiders (2-1) in Readfield.

Ethan Chilton chipped in a goal and four assists, Jacob Lyons had two goals and two assists, and Lucas Woodruff made nine saves.

Owen Reinbach led Fryeburg with five goals — four in the first quarter. Kiefer Galligan scored twice.
